Any child, exposed to radio and TV from the age of 
two or three onward has a sense of total 
participation in the adult world. He’s absolutely 
baffled when he’s told that he is a youngster who 
has no relation to that world yet, he must wait, 
because his experience tells him he’s already in it, 
thoroughly.
